After exploring the darkness of the woods in the previous black & white piece, I suddenly rediscovered the world of colours again.

When I saw the slow moving microscopic colour images of plants, I immediately felt that they had a similar quality to what in myself might be called a soul.

Images may look like gently moving clouds containing some moist air and texture. This is an elemental world of air, water, fire and earth, in which we are able to connect and exchange energies amongst ourselves and nature.

At the same time I realised that light permeates into all these elements, light bending and twisting to reach every detail of what existed. Everything is supported by light.

This microcosmic world can also be seen as a macrocosmic world. We are surrounded by these elements, merged with light, that may enable us to communicate in a fundamental way within the bigger world.

I also explored the notion of time in this work, which had a slow speed, akin to breathings and walking, having a constant and continuous quality beyond limits. R.A.
